Psychological Wellbeing Counselling / Psychosocial Support

Psychological well-being is central to our overall health and quality of life, and it can have a significant impact on sexual well-being, relationships, and our ability to navigate life’s challenges.

As a psychosexual therapist, counsellor, and therapist with more than 35 years of experience, I support people in achieving and maintaining psychological well-being. My practice extends beyond sexual health and relationships, recognising that sexual and relationship concerns are often influenced by stress, anxiety, emotional well-being, and other psychological challenges.

General counselling and psychosocial support can provide a safe and supportive space to explore feelings, beliefs, thoughts, and behaviours, particularly during times of distress, uncertainty, transition, or change.

My Approach

I use a solution-focused approach to supporting psychological well-being. My focus is on identifying practical strategies, tools, and techniques that are tailored to each client and their individual goals for well-being.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, existential, and person-centred psychotherapy. I also incorporate cognitive and behavioural approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices.

Together, we can explore what may be contributing to your current concerns and identify approaches that can support positive change and greater psychological well-being.

Concerns That Can Affect Psychological Well-being

I can support clients experiencing a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Loss and grief

  • Stress

  • Disordered eating

  • Body image concerns

  • Chronic health conditions
